Popular TV couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya planned to celebrate their third wedding anniversary (July 8) in Europe, but little did they know that something unexpected was waiting their way. The couple celebrated their D-day in the hospital due to Vivek sudden hospitalization. The actor was diagnosed with an intestinal infection and liver abscess. Divyanka recently spoke about Vivek’s health and admitted that being in the hospital and making all the decisions for his health was tough; it was a scary time for the lady.

“Those five days were hell for me and our families. I burst out crying as it was devastating to see him so unwell. We take decisions mutually, and here, I had to decide everything — from the hospital to the doctor to the care given to him. I wanted to ask him for his opinion but I had to take the tough decisions. I got really scared for him,” she said, adding, “He is so positive and made us smile after he felt better. We take our health for granted... At times like these, we realize that money and fame don’t matter. Love and people around you do. Moreover, we also realized who really cares about us. Many people we thought were our friends didn’t even reach out to us. We got a reality check,” Divyanka Tripathi said in a statement.

Recently, there were rumors about Vivek falling ill due to an overdose of steroids, to which Divyanka replied, “The rumors were hurtful. He has been working out for years now. He has a lean physique, not a pumped-up one. I felt bad about such rubbish and reacted strongly on social media.”

Divyanka and Vivek, after falling in love with each other on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabattein, tied the knot on July 8, 2016, in Bhopal in presence of their close industry friends and family members.
