Gurdeep Kohli opens up about playing Dr Juhi in Sanjivani 2; says it gave her a name in the industry

Actress Gurdeep Kohli is all set to reprise the role of Dr. Juhi in Sanjivani 2. The show is returning after 14 long years which will also feature actors including Mohnish Bahl, Sayantani Ghosh, Surbhi Chandana and Namit Khanna in the lead roles.

Recently, Gurdeep got candid about the show as playing Dr. Juhi and how the makers retained the title song and after hearing it, she felt like she was 21 again. The actress also credited the show for changing her life. “It gave me a name in the industry. And I married Arjun (Punj) who played my best friend. It seems like Dr. Juhi and I were leading parallel lives and life has come full circle now,” Gurdeep said.

Gurdeep, who went on a sabbatical, raising two kids and is happy to be back with shows like Sethji and Kehne Ko Hai Humsafar. “People are turning away from the TV because nothing has changed in 18 years, we have to up the game now. As TV actors, we have to ensure that the medium doesn’t fade out. It has a great reach and deserves another chance,” the actress added.

Reportedly, Sanjivani 2 is all set to replace Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji on August 12.
