'Will definitely get a chance to work once again in the future': Surbhi Chandna on Ishqbaaaz co-star Nakuul Mehta

Surbhi Chandna impressed everyone with her act as Anika in Ishqbaaaz, co-starring Nakuul Mehta. Not to forget, the crackling chemistry between the lead pair was much appreciated by the audience. Now the actress is all set to star in a sequel of 2000’s hit series, Sanjivani, in which she plays Dr Ishani. Although there was a strong buzz that in Sanjivani 2, Surbhi would be paired opposite Nakuul Mehta. However, the makers went ahead to cast Namit Khanna in the medical drama. 

When Surbhi was asked about it, she told a leading daily, “The audience has loved us in our previous show,” Surbhi says, “We will definitely get a chance to work once again in the future.” Well, we certainly hope they do!

Meanwhile, the actress is quite excited to play a a doctor in the show and said, “My mother always wanted me to become a doctor in real life. I’m sure she will be super-proud to see me as one on an iconic show like Sanjivani!" Not just that, Surbhi is totally hyped about her look in Sanjivani. “I feel really lucky to be a part of this iconic show,” she concluded.

Produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the show will also star Sayantani Ghosh apart from the original pillars, Gurdip Kohli and Mohnish Bahl. The original show narrated a story about four medical interns Juhi Singh, Rahul Mehra, Simran Chopra and Omi Joshi and the trials and tribulations they face to fight a constant battle against diseases and death of patients while balancing their professional and personal life. 

The reboot of Sanjivani will air on Star Plus.
