Nostalgia hit us right at our hearts when the announcement regarding the second season of the iconic show Sanjivani was made recently. Sanjivani 2, that stars Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna in lead roles, is all set to go on air on August 12, 2019. Ahead of its release, the channel on which it will be airing, Star Plus, shared the musical promo on its official Instagram account. Apart from Surbhi and Namit, Mohnish Behl and Gurdip Punjj from the previous season have stepped ahead in the latest season. The first musical video gives us a glimpse of the creme of the storyline while details will be shown during the course of the serial.
In the video, we are introduced to the 'best hospital' Sanjivani and its doctors- Dr. Ishani that is Surbhi and Dr. Sid aka Namit. Soon, we see Namit taking bribe under within a box of sweets and this incident gets recorded by none other than Surbhi, who seems to be a strict doctor. As the clip comes to an end, we get a hint at Surbhi's and Namit's love-hate relationship in the show. Speaking of Surbhi, we surely love her strict and no-nonsense doctor's avatar and it leaves us curious to find out more about her 'tough from outside, soft from inside' nature. Namit, as the kind-hearted doctor wins hearts and we are sure, he is all set to become the next heartthrob soon.
Mohnish and Gurdip have reprised their roles as Dr. Shashank and Dr. Juhi Singh in the show while Surbhi, Namit, Sayantani Ghosh and Rohit Roy are the latest addition to the Sanjivani family.
Sanjivani 2 is the second season of popular TV show Sanjivani: A Medical Boon which aired between 2002 – 2005. It narrated a story about four medical interns and the trials and tribulations they face to fight a constant battle against diseases and death of patients while balancing their professional and personal life. Sanjivani 2 is produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra.
