Here’s the good news for all the fans of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashamah. Almost after two years, the actress is coming back to the show and the news has been confirmed by none other than the producer of the show, Asit Modi.
“We are positive that Disha will make a comeback on the show as Daya. It might take a month’s time. Time and again, we have been asking her to be back on the show. However, she wasn’t ready and told us, ‘Meri beti abhi chhoti hai, how can I leave her alone?” But now, she seems to have made up her mind to make a comeback,” Asit Modi said in a statement.
He further added, “Disha and the production house never had any negative conversations in the past. We were always insisting on having her back on the show. We have tried to push the story for two years without Dayaben, but we definitely want her back on the show.”
For the unaware, Disha tied the knot with chartered accountant Mayur Padia in 2015 and had taken maternity leave in September 2017. After a hiatus of six months, the actress was likely to resume the shoot. But now, it has been almost two years since the actress has been missing on the screen.
