Bhumi Pednekar is all gearing up for Saand Ki Aankh wherein she is playing the role of a sexagenerian woman struggling to make her name in the male-dominated society. Co-incidentally, her previous films Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan also tackled problems like excessive weight gain, open defecation, and erectile dysfunction. Recently, on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show, the actress was asked the reason behind not choosing scripts that do not have social issues attached to them.
Kapil took to the Twitter page to share a video from the show, in which he can be seen saying, "Aapki har film mein na koi na koi problem hoti hai. Jaise Dum Laga Ke Haisha mein inko weight ka problem tha, Toilet (Ek Prem Katha) mein inko toilet ka problem tha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan mein Ayushmann ko kuch medical ka problem tha. Ye bina problem wali film karne mein aapko kya problem hai?"
To which Bhumi replied, “Main na actually doctor hoon. Internally...main logon ki...main samaaj ki..." Kapil quickly replied, "Aap seriously doctor hain? Mere na ek pimple ho raha hai..." Bhumi replies, "Main dil ki doctor hoon" and gets the reply from Kapil, "Main bhi dil ka hi mareez hoon."
