It won't be wrong to say Kartik Aaryan is amongst the most talented stars of the current generation in Bollywood. The actor, with a perfect blend of good looks and natural acting skills, has rightfully become the crush of the nation and has wowed the audience with his choice of films. Kartik, after struggling for years to make a mark for himself, is now one of the stars with whom filmmakers are excited to work with. Now, after a blockbuster year, Kartik is gearing for the release of the upcoming romantic comedy titled Pati, Patni Aur Woh and has been keeping busy on his toes with the hectic promotional schedule with the leading actresses of the film- Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. Recently, for the promotions, the trio made an appearance on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol 11 during their Mother's Special episode. During the same, Kartik, recalling his struggle and how the times when his mother stood with him like a strong pillar, got emotional.
During the episode, one of the top 10 contestants named Shahzan Mujeeb sang the soulful song Surmayi Ankhiyon Mein from the Kamal Haasan's- late Sridevi's Sadma. The singer then narrated the struggle he and his mother faced and reminisced his journey from Aligarh to Mumbai. Upon hearing this, Kartik resonated with the tale and was moved by the former's singing. In addition to this, the makers of Indian Idol 11 gave the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor a surprise by sharing an exclusive bite from his mother Mala Tiwari. In the video, Mrs. Tiwari showered love on her son and praised him for becoming the nation's crush with his hard work.
On listening to his mother's message for him, Kartik was moved to tears. He then went on to reveal that Mrs. Tiwari is a breast cancer survivor and told that she used to travel between Gwalior and Mumbai frequently in order to be with him during his difficult days.
Kartik, post the show, in an interview with a leading daily, told that the Mother's Special episode was an emotional experience for him. "Shooting for the Mother's Special episode was quite an emotional experience. It brought back all the memories I've had with my mother who has always been a strong pillar of support. I was truly moved by Shahzaan's soul-stirring rendition of 'Surmayi Ankhiyon Mein', which is one of my favourite songs," Kartik added.
