TV actress Sejal Sharma who was last seen in the show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji has left everyone in shock by committing suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her Mira Road flat. Her body was found by one of her friends who thereby notified the police. She had left a suicide note claiming sole responsibility for her death and alleged that she was suffering from depression for the last one-and-a-half months.
PeepingMoon.com exclusively spoke to Jasmin Bhasin, Sejal’s co-star from the show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji about the young actress’s suicide. Jasmine said, “I got a call a few hours back that she committed suicide...it is quite shocking...I still couldn’t believe that she committed suicide due to depression...she was full of energy...very positive and chirpy...she was a very good dancer....it’s hard to believe that she is no more. Post the show, I met her at one small party and we had a good conversation...post that, we couldn’t be in touch. We bonded very well on the set and I am still shocked.”

Jasmin played the role of Happy Mehra in the television series, while Sejal used to play the role of Simmi Khosla in the serial Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji. Sejal used to live in Mira Road’s Shivar Garden locality. Her flat was in the Royal Nest building. She had also worked in a web series called Azad Parinde. She was from Udaipur and had come to Mumbai in 2017.
