Few days back, Bigg Boss 13 contestant Mahira Sharma took to Instagram story and shared that she was given the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award for the 'Most Fashionable Contestant on Bigg Boss 13'. However, this post did not go down well with the organisers of the festival. They released an official statement slamming Mahira for forging the certificate.
Reacting on this accusation, the actress said that she was invited for this festival by Mr Premal Mehta from Purple Fox Media along with Yash Naik, who is an artiste manager for the said award show.
The organisers demanded an apology, however, Mahira denied it saying she has done nothing wrong to apologise. “Mahira kyun apologise kare? Jab kuch galat nahi kiya hai. Their post has tarnished my image and I have been dealing with consequences where I am at no fault. Still I am not asking DPIFF to say sorry to me. So why do they expect an apology from my side?” Mahira said in a statement. She further revealed that many contestants have received it but they won’t admit just to avoid the whole controversy.
On the personal front, Mahira is rumoured to be dating Paras Chhabra, who is currently seen in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge? The two were recently spotted enjoying a late night drive with each other.
