Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 13 ended its four months run by declaring Sidharth Shukla as the winner on February 15, 2020. The television and film actor, with his stint inside the house, won the hearts of the audience. While he secured a strong fan following, there is a section who is of the opinion that Sidharth's win was biased. With Asim Riaz finishing the show as the runner-up, criticism was attracted to Sidharth. The Balika Vadhu actor who was known for his aggression on Bigg Boss 13, during an interview, addressed the controversy. He questioned that when he was nominated twice and received punishments too, how can the show be biased towards him? He further added that the fights weren't started by him and he was the one who retaliated. Sidharth said that he feels statements blaming him for being the biased winner 'loserly'.
"I really don’t think so. If you see, I was nominated twice as punishment. Even if you see the fights, I wasn’t the one who started it. Only when I was nudged or provoked, did I retaliate. Show me one video of mine in which I initiated a fight. Never! I just feel like that’s a very ‘loserly’ statement to pass. Everybody who has been in the house would have never felt that there was any discrimination," Sidharth told.
Sidharth further dismissed reports of Bigg Boss 13 being scripted and the channel bias. “I really don’t think that’s the case. It’s really sad that people happen to say such things. It’s just a classic case of sour grapes where people say things or pinpoint just after losing. I remember my mom saying to me that some site has every week’s numbers and I was at the top. I did not leave the number 1 position throughout. So when something like that has happened, how can the channel be biased?" Sidharth added.
