Rejoice 'Ramayana' fans! Ramanand Sagar's iconic mythological serial is returning to Doordarshan amid India's 21-day lockdown

In the golden era of the '90s, Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana and B.R. Chopra's TV show Mahabharata were watched by each and every Indian of all ages. It would not be wrong to say that these two shows have been gloriously written in the history of TV.

Earlier this week, as PM Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown against the Coronavirus, Twitteratis requested for reruns of Ramayana. Earlier, it was being touted that Prasar Bharti is in talks for the show's re-air the show. However, it was Union I&B minister Prakash Javdekar, who confirmed on Friday that the show will be back on the television from this Saturday, March 28th. What's more? The show will have two episodes airing every day, one at morning 9 am and the other one at 9pm in the night.
