National lockdown due coronavirus pandemic has led to no fresh content being produced in the film and television industry. This has prompted many television channels to bring back past hits and keep the viewers glued to the screen. Doordarshan brought back Ramayan, Mahabharat, Byomkesh Bakshi, Shaktimaan, and Dekh Bhai Dekh amongst several others. Similarly, Sony TV channel has also decided to bring back its old shows like CID, Aahat and Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai.

Actors Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhalia starrer Ramayan which made a comeback on television on Saturday has garnered a whopping TRP impression. Reportedly, the iconic show, on Saturday morning garnered 34 million viewers with 3.4% rating. In the evening, the next episode had 45 million people watching it with a 5.2% rating. Sunday got even better as the morning episode clocked 40 million viewership and the evening had 51 million people glued to their television screens.
