The alarming spread of Coronavirus has confined the citizens of India to their homes. With a complete lockdown announced till April 14, everyone is locked inside their houses. Now, with nearly one week left for the shutdown to lift, Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi engaged his countrymen by asking them to light a candle, diya or mobile flashlight for nine minutes at 9 pm today. A measure to show unity, the activity has been receiving a great response, just like the janta curfew that took place on March 22.
Extending her support to the initiative was Rashami Desai. The actress it a candle with her niece and nephew in attendance.
Himanshi Khurana and her boyfriend Asim Riaz also participated in the initiative. The Bigg Boss 13 contestants shared pictures on Instagram.
Paras Chhabra and Shefali Jariwala also lit candles and diyas to show unity.
Kamya Panjabi along with her husband Shalabh Dang and daughter Aara prayed for the world's safety. Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary also stepped out in their balcony.
Arti Singh also prayed for the battle against Coronavirus.
