Last week Doordarshan announced that its popular 80's show Ramayan would be aired from Saturday. Later, taking note of such public demand, the government re-telecast body decided to telecast Mahabharat, Byomkesh Bakshi, and the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Circus. What's more? Star Bharat also started airing Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai and Khichdi from Monday, April 6 at 10 and 11 am respectively.
Recently, the channel shared a video where where Hansa (Supriya Pathak) calls Maya (Ratna Pathak Shah) to share a 'suppak' news. As soon as she starts talking, Maya ends up correcting her in her trademark style and says, "Hello Hansa. Haan magar Maya ben nahi, Maya. Mujhe please Maya bulao. Aur suppak nahi hota. It's superb or terrific." Soon, Hansa being herself, continues to talk and teela Maya, "Aise kuch bhi mat bol, haan Maya," as she gives her own meaning of terrific.
When Maya asks Hansa not to trouble her more and tells her, "Corona, Monisha, bahut sare viruses hain," the latter reveals the news of re-telecast of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai and Khichdi on Star Bharat. It is rather interesting to note that Ratna and Supriya, who played pivotal roles in their respective shows, are siblings in real life.
Now, with these classic shows returning, we wonder what the audience's next demand will be!
