Shweta Tiwari has been winning hearts for years now. She had the entire country rooting for her when she played Prerna in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay and went on to win Bigg Boss 4 as well. She is an actress par excellence and has excelled in drama as well as comedy and has had a successful professional life. However, her personal life has always been turbulent but she has managed to stay strong always. Even when her first marriage failed and she found love for the second time, things went kaput and the actress had opened up during an interview about facing backlash from the society when her second marriage crumbled.
During an interview with a leading daily, Shweta revealed that she faced a lot of backlash and societal pressure when her second marriage failed. She said, “When I got married at the peak of my career, people told me that it’s over for me. But I didn’t let people’s opinion penetrate my mind. I didn’t even care what my khandaan will say, who only asked me how I was doing once in five years. I just care about myself, my kids, and my immediate family."
The actress revealed that when she got married for the second time she was at the peak of her career and people warned her that it was all over for her in the industry. However, she did not let other people’s opinion get the better of her. She revealed that she only think about her kids, herself and her immediate family.
Shweta suffered physical abuse in her first marriage with Raja Chaudhary. She has a daughter Palak with him. Her second marriage to Abhinav Kohli also broke up as Shweta filed a case against him for domestic abuse. The couple is parents to a son Reyansh Kohli.
