After three months of lockdown, the television industry is finally gearing up to resume shooting. With due permission from the Maharashtra Government with certain measures to stay safe, makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai re-started the shoot today. Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who play the respective roles of Naira and Kartik, shot for their first scene after the lockdown on Friday (June 26).
The production house is taking all precautionary measures to safeguard the cast and crew. Producer Rajan Shahi was present on the sets to monitor everything. Here's a picture of Shivangi and Mohsin from the first day of shoot of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The on-screen couple can be seen as having a discussion in the scene.
Earlier there were speculations around Shivangi exiting the show but the actress termed it as a 'rumour' this morning and promised all her fans a surprise. Well, now we know what the surprise she was talking about was. "This is to clear the air that I am not going anywhere, I had a wonderful journey portraying Naira in these 4 years and it will continue to be so. In fact, there is a very special treat for all Yeh Rishta fans and we will be coming to surprise you all," Shivangi had told.
Speaking of Shivangi, in 2016 she was roped in to play Akshara's and Naitik's daughter Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She is also seen playing the character in the show's spin-off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke featuring Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh that started in 2019.
