Indian government’s call to ban 59 Chinese apps including the hugely-popular video-sharing app TikTok has received thunderous applause from television celebrities. TikTok, owned by China’s ByteDance has an estimated 120 million users in India, and banning it is a huge blow to the company as well as China.
TV fraternity has raised its voice and applauded the decision to ban the app. Kushal Tandon, Nia Sharma, Kamya Punjabi, Rashami Desai, Karanvir Bohra, Manveer Gurjar took to social media to support the Government’s decision. Check out their tweets below:

TikTok has received a lot of flak in recent times. Renowned teacher and scientist Sonam Wangchuk has been asking celebs and common people to refrain from using Chinese apps and Chinese goods in the wake of the increasing border tension between the two countries.
