After three months of lockdown, the shoot of television shows had recently resumed. While fans were gearing up to watch the fresh episodes of their favourite daily soaps, a piece of bad news has come across. Parth Samthaan, who is currently seen as Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the shoot of the daily soap has been reportedly stalled for the next few days.
According to reports, Parth's co-stars Erica Fernandes, Pooja Banerjee, Shubhaavi Choksey, Aamna Sharif, Karan Patel and others will be undergoing the COVID test. The rest of the crew members will also be tested. Renowned celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, on his Instagram account, shared the news and wrote, "Parth Samthaan aka anurag of #kasautiizindagiikay2 has been tested COVID 19 POSITIVE .Shooting for his serial has now been stopped and the crew memebers have been requested to undergo tests. Looks like the entire entertainment industry has been cursed"
Before returning to Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 set on June 27, Parth has travelled to Mumbai from Hyderabad. He had jetted off when flights resumed operations in May. A few days ago, the actor announced his break from social media. Returning to Instagram to confirm the same, Parth urged people who have come in close contact with him to get themselves checked. "Hi everyone , I had mild symtomps and got myself tested. And yes I have been tested Postive for Covid 19 ...hence I would urge and request everyone whose been with me in close promitixy over the last few days please go and get yourself tested . The Bmc has regularly been in touch and with the doctors guidance I am in self quarantine and I am grateful to them for all their support . Please be safe and take care," Parth wrote.
Balaji Telefilms, the production house of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, on Instagram, issued an official statement. The company owned by Ekta stated that necessary precautions are being taken.
