Karan Patel’s swab test comes negative for Coronavirus, the actor urges everyone to ‘stay safe’

After Parth Samthaan tested positive for Coronavirus, his co-stars and other crew members were asked to get themselves tested too. The shoot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay has also been temporarily halted. Karan Patel who recently joined the cast as the new Mr.Bajaj has also undergone a swab test.

Karan’s publicist Avantika Sinha issued a statement on his behalf that read, “Karan Patel’s swab test has come out negative and alls good. He requests all to stay safe and get their tests done even if mild symptoms. Better to be safe than sorry."

Karan had previously told an online portal, "Luckily, I have not been going for the shoot for the past three days. And I haven't even come in contact with Parth since the shoot has started."

The production house had issued a statement in the wake of Parth testing positive that read, “We would like to inform various stakeholders that one of our talent from the show Kasautii Zindagii Kay has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now receiving medical attention. Our first priority is to help protect our talent, production crew and employees. We are taking all the precautions detailed in the guideline. We were and will continue following all medical protocols set by the authorities and have implemented guidelines concerning social interactions, hygiene, travel and visits to the sets.”
