On July 12, television actor Parth Samthaan who is currently seen as Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, was tested positive for COVID-19. Now, days after the news sent across a wave of worry in the television industry, actress Shrenu Parikh confirmed that she is found positive for the novel Coronavirus. Shrenu who was last seen as Janhvi Mittal in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, informed her fans on social media.
The actress, on her Instagram account this morning, shared her health update and said she was tested positive a few days ago. She told that she is taking treatment at a hospital and is recovering well. Shrenu thanked the doctors and medical staff at the hospital for treating patients with compassion. In her statement on Instagram, Shrenu wrote, "Hey everyone have been away for a while but the bugger hasn’t spared me…was found Covid positive a few days ago, and I’m now recovering in the hospital! Keep me and my family in your prayers! And I’m very thankful to all the corona warriors who treat the patients compassionately during these scary times too…" The captioned of the statement said, "Even after being so careful if it can get to you then imagine the power of this invisible demon we are fighting with... pls pls be very careful and save urselves!"
Shrenu, before the lockdown was announced in March, returned to Mumbai from the US. After self-quarantining herself for fourteen days, the Ishqbaaz actress drove down to her hometown Vadodara in May with her friends. Shrenu's parents are in Vadodara and she took all necessary permissions to travel by road.
