Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 5 featuring Hina Khan, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Mohit Malhotra premiered this weekend. Avid watchers of the supernatural series couldn't stop gushing over Hina and her performance. However, reports suggest that the actress will be seen in a cameo and Surbhi Chandna will take the show forward. While the makers are yet to confirm this development, an entertainment portal's report has it that Mohit Sehgal has been roped in as the lead opposite Surbhi.

A source close to the development informed the portal that Mohit will be playing a positive character named Jay. It is believed Sharad Malhotra will join Naagin 5 as the antagonist. "Mohit will play the lead role in the show and his character name would be Jay. The actor will play a positive role in the drama," the source told.

As per reports, Surbhi will join Naagin 5 as Hina's reincarnation. It is believed that Surbhi who was last seen in Sanjivani, has started shooting for the supernatural series. Recently, reports of Devoleena Bhattacharjee being approached for the show did the rounds. The actress, who participated in Bigg Boss 13 confirmed the same and said she is yet to decide. She further told that she would love to do Naagin 5 and work closely with  Ekta.
