The first teaser of Star Plus' Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 featuring Devoleena Bhattacharjee sent fans into a zone of excitement. Since then, the speculation regarding who is the new female protagonist Gehna is surfacing across social media. While the makers of the show are yet to announce the name, reports suggest Rajat Tokas has been roped in as the male opposite Gehna.
According to an entertainment portal's report, Rajat, who has done shows like Naagin 3, Chandra Nandini, Dharam Veer, Jodha Akbar etc, is in the race for the male lead along with Harsh Rajput, Priyanshu Jora, Rajat Tokas, Mishkat Verma and Shravan Reddy.
Rumour has it that actresses like Niti Taylor, Kanchi Singh and Aditi Bhatia are being considered for the role of Gehna. However, there is no clarification from the makers as of now. Reports had it that Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla has been approached by the makers of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.
The teaser of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 came days after music producer Yashraj Mukhate's rap video Rasode Mein Kaun Tha featuring characters of the first season-Kokilaben (Rupal Patel), former Gopi Bahu (Gia Manek) and Rashi (Rucha Hasabnis) went viral. Producer Rashmi Sharma confirmed the second season during an interview with a leading daily.
