Saumya Tandon aka Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai's Anita Bhabhi quit the show last month. The actress who played the character for five years, bid adieu to explore different projects that will allow her to grow as an artiste. Now, in the latest development related to the sitcom, an entertainment portal's report has it that Nehha Pendse will be replacing Saumya on the show. Nehha, a popular name in the Hindi film industry and television, is reportedly on the wish list of producer Binaifer Kohli.
Nehha, seen in the now-off air daily soap May I Come In Madam?, has reportedly been approached for the role of Anita Bhabhi. She is yet to sign the offer. "Show's producer Binaifer Kohli is keen to get Nehha Pendse on board to be the new Anita Bhabi. She has been the main lead in her previous show and finds her suitable for the role. However, the actress has not said yes to the offer till now," the source told.
A Bigg Boss 12 participant, Nehha is spending quality time with her husband Shardul Singh Bayas whom she got married to on January 5 this year.
In a previous interview with a leading daily, Saumya spoke about quitting the show. She said, "You can say that it’s an impractical decision to quit a stable job, that too, in an established show. But, I realised that being employed and earning a regular income was not exciting enough any more. I want to do projects where there is scope for growth as an artiste. Having said that, it does not mean that 'Bhabi Ji...' did not contribute to my growth, I had a beautiful journey on the show. However, I have played this character for five years now, and I don’t see myself doing it for another five years."
