After 2 years of entertaining the audience, Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 bid adieu to the audience. The Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer was a reboot of Shweta Tiwari's and Cezzane Khan's show of the same name that premiered in 2001. The last episode aired today, October 3, 2020. Saying goodbye to fans, Parth, who played the role of Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, penned a heartfelt note as he took a tour of the sets for the last time.
Parth, in a video on Instagram, was seen cherishing moments spent on Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 sets. He was seen locking his greenroom for the final time. Parth thanked the team of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 including producer Ekta Kapoor, the writers, director and all the technical crew who worked together for 2 long years and made the show a loved one. Saying that the iconic character of Anurag will remain close to him forever, Parth expressed gratitude towards fans who supported him throughout.
"One beautiful journey has ended !Today being the last of Kasautii , all I take along with me are Memories can’t thank enough to the team of @balajitelefilmslimited and of course @ektarkapoor ma’am for giving me this iconic character to play yes it’s true that every time we play a certain character , we take a part of it with us and it stays forever thankyou to all the writers and creatives for making Anurag lovable , to all the directors for getting me into the skin of character ... my co-actors (best co-actors infact ) my Basu family , to all the technicians ...assistant directors , costume team , lightmen , spot ! Had an amazing time at Balaji thankyou @starplus team for giving this amazing platform and making all the audiences love Anurag and last but not the least A big Thankyou to all the fans who have supported ,loved ,made fan pages and kept motivating us we are nothing without you Will be back soon with a new journey ....until then —- -Alvida Anurag !" he wrote.
Parth, after resuming shoot amid pandemic, tested positive for COVID-19. Days after recovering, the actor reportedly decided to quit the show to focus on his health and explore different opportunities. Reportedly, he has been signed for a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia Bhatt in the lead.
