Actress Divya Bhatnagar's death due to COVID-19 shook the television industry. While her family and friends are mourning her untimely demise, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Divya's brother Devashish Bhatnagar levelled allegations of domestic violence against her husband Gagan Gabru. Devoleena, who was Divya's closest friend, claimed that he tortured the deceased actress. Now, days after Divya's death, Gagan finally broke his silence. 

In a video on Instagram, Gagan lashed out at Devoleena and slammed her for mocking Divya's death. "I am making this video for Devoleena. I had not come to terms with Divya's loss and you (Devoleena) made a mockery out of her death and sought publicity out of it. I have nothing against the fans, who abused me and sent DMs. My target is Devoleena in this video. In your own video, you claimed that you weren't in touch with Divya for four years. Not four years, I haven't seen you around Divya for six years, except for the day when you came to meet her when I was also there," Gagan said in his video.

Further, he slammed Divya's brother Devashish for claiming he found a note written by the actress. "That day, why didn't you talk to me? and now you are saying that I used to abuse Divya, beat her and mentally torture her. Why didn't you talk directly face-to-face with me back then? And Dev Bhatnagar, you have now found a letter in Divya's cupboard. Where were you for 6 years? I cannot believe that Divya wrote such things because we never had that kind of problem," he added.

In the video, Gagan claimed that Devoleena distanced herself from Divya when she was facing financial problems and didn't have work. He warned Devoleena and Divya's family and slammed them for their fake tears. Gagan said Devoleena doesn't have the right to interfere in anyone's personal life and he isn't answerable to her. Gagan went on to claim that Divya time and again faced financial problems because of her brother and mother. He said Divya's family didn't allow him to meet her. He concluded the video saying Devoleena and Devashish gave her death due to COVID-19 a new angle and maligned his reputation in media.
