Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are all set to enter the next phase of their lives by tying the knot on December 25. Now, the couple has started off their wedding festivities today with the traditional Chiksa ceremony. Gauahar and Zaid looked resplendent in yellow at their Chiksa ceremony.
Sharing the pictures from the big day, Gauahar wrote, "When half of me met half of you and together the better halves shaped our beautiful moments. #Alhamdulillah Day 1 of #GaZa celebrations - Chiksa." Zaid posted the same photos. In the first photo, Gauahar and Zaid posed romantically for the camera while in the second one, the two stoke an exciting pose.
For the unversed, Chiksa is a herbal bath powder with almonds, rose petals, turmeric and other exotic ingredients powdered together. This powder, mixed with water and made into a paste, is used by the bride from days ahead of the wedding for that sparkling dazzle on the wedding day. The bride and groom wear yellow clothing and get smeared with a paste of turmeric and sandalwood in rosewater in Chiksa ceremony.
Gauahar and Zaid met through mutual friends during the lockdown and fell in love. In November, Zaid popped the big question to the actress and on December 1, the couple announced their wedding.
