After taking her time and denying the fact that she is not doing Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, Nehha Pendse has finally confirmed that she is doing the show. The actress has officially replaced Saumya Tandon and will be playing the role of Anita Bhabhi aka Gori Mem. The actress will be seen alongside Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour and Shubhangi Atre.
Confirming her entry on the show, Neha told a portal, “Yes I am doing Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, but the fear is less now. Till September, there was a fear of the unknown. We didn't know how to handle it, unlike now. Even Shardul had said I should take up something only if the opportunity was worth giving my life for. Iske aage if I fear and sit at home, I would be a coward."

On the other hand, Saumya is glad about the replacement and told a portal, “I’m happy to hear this news. Nehha is a good choice. I have worked with her on a non-fiction show. While I hosted it, she performed gags in it. She is talented and professional. I am certain that she will do justice to the part. I have given my sweat, blood and heart to this character. I am glad she is portraying it.”
She was asked whether it is difficult for an artiste to replace another in a show. To this Saumya said, “I feel that the Indian television audience is quite accepting of actors stepping into someone else’s shoes to play a character on a show. There are so many instances where the audience has accepted the replacement. Having said that, I also believe that it is more challenging to replace someone in a comedy show, unlike other genres, because it is performance oriented. An actor’s exit also plays a role in how well the viewer accepts the replacement. I exited the show on a good note. It was a mutual decision. There was no bad blood or animosity. Nehha is a fine actor and I am sure that the audience will accept her wholeheartedly.”
