Avinash Sachdev and Palak Purswani kickstart pre-wedding festivities with kacchi misri, roka ceremony to take place soon
TV actor Avinash Sachdev was dating actress Palak Purswani for nearly 3 years. Now, the two have decided to take their relationship forward. On January 15, Avinash and Palak had their kacchi misri ceremony at the latter's residence in presence of immediate family members. Talking to a leading daily about the pre-wedding festivity, Palak told she can't wait to begin a new chapter with Avinash. She further shared that the wedding will take place in the first half of 2022. Their Roka ceremony will happen soon in Nagpur.
"The kacchi misri ceremony is basically an official green signal from the families. Soon after the ceremony, I started addressing Avinash’s parents as mom and dad. It feels surreal and Avi and I can’t wait to begin this exciting new chapter of our lives. We haven’t decided upon the wedding date but the preparations have begun. We shall have our roka ceremony soon in Nagpur," Palak told.
Recalling the time he popped the big question, Avinash said, "We started out as friends. Apart from the fact that we both belong to Sindhi community, we learnt that we have many similar interests and food choices. So we began to hang out together. When I realised that it is more than friendship, I straightaway told Palak – ‘I love you. But you don’t have to feel pressured to reciprocate if you don’t feel the same’. I am glad that today even both our families gel very well."
Karan Veer Mehra to marry Nidhi V Seth this month!
Karan Veer Mehra has found love once again. The actor had a troubled marriage in the past. Now, he is all set to marry Nidhi V Seth, who was seen in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. The wedding ceremony will take place on January 24. Talking to a leading daily about the wedding, Karan said it will be an intimate affair.
"We have invited only 30 guests for the shaadi, but we plan to hold a reception in Mumbai for our friends, who won’t be able to attend the wedding," Karan told. Nidhi added, "We had shortlisted a few dates, including one in December. However, we wanted 2020 out of our lives and hence, settled for January 2021. We checked online and found that January 24 was an auspicious date. I realised that I am not shooting on that day, and that was another reason we zeroed in on this date (laughs!)"
Gushing over her, Karan said, "She completes me and I know that she feels the same about me. We hardly say ‘I love you’ to each other, we always say, ‘I love us’." Nidhi shared, "We connected well every time we met, and our friendship became stronger. We soon realised that we are alike and have common interests. Apart from the fact that we are in the same profession, both of us love playing chess, enjoy sports, and even share a fetish for mirrors in the house."
