A major fire broke out on the sets of Star Plus’ show Pandya Store in Film City, Goregaon in Mumbai on Saturday, February 21, 2021. Although a part of the set was engulfed in flames no casualties were reported. Lead actor Kinshuk Mahajan has been reportedly rescued and unharmed. 15 fire engines reached the spot to curtail the fire.
Kruttika Desai, who plays Suman Pandya, Kinshuk’s mother in the serial posted a video of the fire on social media but later deleted it.
Producers Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comall Sunjoy Waddhwa from Sphere Origins issued a statement that read, “A part of the set of the show Pandya Store caught fire post-pack-up of the shoot. The extent of damage in respect of this accident is yet to be determined. The magnitude of the fire was minor in nature and has not disrupted our operations. Everyone including the artists and the crew members are safe and shooting has resumed."
Pandya Store also stars Shiny Doshi in the lead role of Dhara. The show premiered on Star Plus on January 25 and brings forth a unique family drama based on the life of an elder brother who along with his caring wife shoulders responsibilities and takes care of the needs of their family and business at the same time.
