Shoaib Ibrahim to join wife Dipika Kakar in Sasural Simar 2 as Prem?

Dipika Kakar is returning to television with the new season of Sasural Simar Ka. The actress played the titular role in the first season. Interestingly, Dipika fell in love with her co-star and on-screen husband Shoaib Ibrahim on Sasural Simar Ka sets and now, they are happily married. For the unversed, Shoaib played the role of Prem. Now, as Sasural Simar Ka 2 gearing up to go on air, the question is whether Shoaib will join Dipika on the show.

According to an entertainment portal's report, Shoaib and Dipika will be seen as Prem and Simar in the initial episodes. They will then hand over the show to the new star cast. A source told the portal, "The show will start with original Simar and Prem played by Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim. The duo has already started shooting for it. However, the story will move ahead with the new star cast including faces like Avinash Mukherjee, Radhika Muthukumar and Akash Jagga in pivotal roles."

However, Dipika, during an interview with a leading daily, refused to talk about Shoaib's role in Sasural Simar Ka 2. She said, "I would love Shoaib to play Prem again on the show. But for now, I don’t want to comment on that."
