Sony TV's popular bi-weekly program The Kapil Sharma Show aired its last episode in February. The host of the show, Kapil, decided to take a break to be with his family after welcoming his second child, a baby boy. He promised to return to television soon. Now, there is an interesting update on The Kapil Sharma Show's upcoming season. Krushna Abhishek, a member of The Kapil Sharma Show, told a leading daily that the show will return in May and shared that certain changes and additions will be made.
Krushna further clarified that the date is yet to be finalised. "The show is returning to TV in May. We haven't finalised the date yet. Yes, there will be new things this time also. The set will go under a revamp. We will have a new set and there will be a few new additions also and I will give you good news about it soon," Krushna told.

The Kapil Sharma Show started in 2016. The show went off-air in 2017. It returned in 2018. Navjot Singh Sidhu was also a part of the show but was replaced by Archana Puran Singh in 2019. The previous season of the show was produced by Salman Khan's production house and Banijay Asia. It featured Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh and Chandan Prabhakar.
