Zee TV’s popular soap opera Kumkum Bhagya recently completed seven years of being on air. To mark the momentous achievement, lead actor Sriti Jha took to social media to write a heartfelt post thanking her co-star Shabir Ahluwalia, producer Ekta Kapoor and fans of the show. The show premiered in 2014.
Sriti shared a reel that showed glimpses of her and Shabir and wrote, “The last seven years have been the best years of my life by far... my heart is a puddle of joy today. I have met little pieces of my heart on kumkum bhagya... it has taught me the true meaning of serendipity... there can’t be a happier conincidence than bringing together of some of the most amazing people Most of all thank you @ektarkapoor for making this magic happen... every single person who has been on the show has a special place in my life...I can go on and on and on but my vocabulary fails me Har khushi shabdo me bayaan nahi hoti...@shabirahluwalia what a pleasure it is to have front row seats to the magic you create between action and cut and beyond And the fans... tum logo ne to din bana diya itni yaadein taza karke... sabko dher dher dher saara pyaar Ruthe ruthe to khuda bhi ruthe #cue for chorus. #7yearsofkumkumbhagya P.s: mujhe aata nahi thik se reel banana lekin mohobbat me bohot himmat hoti hai... galat hi sahi yehi hai jo hai.”
Ekta also shared a video with the entire cast congratulating each other. In the video, Shabir Ahluwalia is seen saying how the show became what it is only because of its loyal audience. Ekta captioned the video, "Celebrating 7 years of Love, togetherness and compassion! Celebrating 7 years of Kumkum Bhagya. A big thank you to all our fans for showering the show and the actors with love and affection (sic)."
Kumkum Bhagya followed the life of a rockstar named Abhishek who marries a simple girl named Pragya. Eventually they fall in love. The show has taken a number of leaps till now. As of now, the show is focusing on the love story of their twin adult daughters.
