Apurva Agnihotri, who was last seen in the television show Bepannaah, has been roped in for the show Anupamaa. The Star Plus show stars Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey and Ashish Mehrotra in key roles.
The makers of Anupamaa shared a short video with glimpses of Apurva Agnihotri from the show. He is seen sporting long hair with a beard. They captioned it, "Dr. Advait Khanna. What’s the new twist in Anupamaa life? Keep Watching #anupamaa Monday-Saturday at 10 pm on Star Plus (sic)."
Apurva said, “My character will bring some interesting twists and turns in the life of Anupamaa and the Shah parivaar. I decided to accept this role, because it is different in many ways. My character has a lot of layers. There are many aspects and many shades to his personality which will come out as the show progresses. With this show, I will be back on TV after a gap of three years. When Anupamaa was offered to me, it was too good an opportunity to refuse because obviously Rajan Shahi is one of the top producers in the industry, so there was really no reason to say a no."
Apurva Agnihotri is known for his role as Rajiv in the film Pardes (1997) co-starring Shahrukh Khan and directed by Subhash Ghai. He was also seen as Armaan Suri in the television show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. He participated in Bigg Boss 7 in 2013 with his wife Shilpa Saklani. He went on to play roles in shows like Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh and Saubhagyalaxmi.
