Due to the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021, shoots of television shows have come to a halt. With this, several celebrities are facing financial problems. Ayub Khan, who features in the show Ranju Ki Betiyaan, spoke to a leading daily about not earning money for 1 and a half years.
The popular TV actor and nephew of Dilip Kumar, who has done shows like Uttaran, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Ek Bhram... Sarvagun Sampanna among several others, told the daily, "I haven’t earned any money since the last one and a half year, and am down to the last little pennies now."

The actor further said that the lockdown is affecting work. "It is affecting work, and emotional state as everyone is struggling. It’s been one and a half years since I’ve not been working (regularly). I’ve earned no money. So, the strain is huge," he admitted.
Ayub said that if the situation doesn't improve, he'll have to ask for help. "You can’t do anything. You just have to make do with whatever you have. And, God forbid, if things go from bad to worse, one will have to put out a hand for help. What else can you do?" he shared.
