Due to restrictions in Mumbai in the middle of COVID-19 second wave, shoots of daily TV shows and reality shows are happening in different parts of the country. The set of Indian Idol 12 has been put up in Daman. Those associated with the show are currently in a bio-bubble and can't return to Mumbai before the restrictions are lifted and the Government of Maharashtra permits shoots to take place in the city.
Due to the change in location, Indian Idol 12 judges Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya were missing from the show on Saturday and Sunday. Now, according to an entertainment portal's report, the trio will not be shooting for the singing reality show till the team returns to Mumbai post restrictions are eased. This is because they won't be allowed to travel back to the city for prior commitments once enter the bio-bubble in Daman. Manoj Muntashir and Anu Malik will be judging the show for a few weeks.
Vishal, on Instagram, opened up about his absence from Indian Idol 12 and assured that he is fit and fine. Sharing a picture of himself, the singer wrote, "A flood of messages yesterday, asking why I wasn't on @indianidol2021 and whether I'm in good health. 1. I'm perfectly fine & isolating as we should all be. Helping others as best I can from here, working out and waiting for this storm to pass. 2. My parents are currently living with me, so to step outside and come back might put them at risk. If I went to Daman (where Idol is shooting in a tight bio-bubble), I'd have to stay in Daman itself, which I can't do. Missed you all too, though, and thank you for the love and concern. I'll be back as soon as circumstances permit. Stay safe and keep your families safe. Also, my deepest thanks to @sonytvofficial @fremantleindia and @thecontentteamofficial for being so understanding. "
Neha, who has been missing for nearly two weeks, took some time off to spend with her husband Rohanpreet Singh and celebrate their 6 months wedding anniversary.
