Shweta Tiwari has reacted to estranged husband Abhinav Kohli’s accusation that she has left their son Reyansh in Mumbai at a hotel as she left for Cape Town, South Africa to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. In the videos that Abhinav posted on social media he is seen saying that he had refused to give his consent to Shweta for participating in the show during the pandemic. He also claims that Shweta didn't inform him about their son Reyansh's whereabouts before leaving. He added that he went to seek help from the police but nothing good came out of it. He later appeals to his followers to help him find Reyansh.
Now, Shweta has rubbished Abhinav’s claims of her not informing him about Reyansh’s well-being before leaving for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 shoot. She told an online portal, “I had informed Abhinav Kohli over a phone call that I am going to Cape Town and that Reyansh is safe with my family. My mother, my relatives, and Palak are there to take care of him. Plus, I will always be on video calls with Reyansh in between my shoot. I had informed Abhinav Kohli everything and I was surprised yet again to see the video he posted. I really don’t understand the agenda behind it, given that he speaks to Reyansh in the evening over call for about one hour, every day, without fail as per the High Court’s order. To be honest, as per the HC orders he is allowed to speak for only half an hour but he speaks for a longer period but we never stop him. Yet he claims that he doesn’t know where his child is and how he is doing. When I informed him, he wanted to know the address so that he could go there and trouble my family in my absence. He is doing all this only for that.”
She further added, “The channel was, in fact, ready to pay for my son and my nanny’s tickets as well while I had to pay for my mother. I was ready to make them all travel with me to ensure maximum safety. However, Abhinav Kohli did not give me the consent which is required. He did not want Reyansh to be with me, whereas all I wanted was to keep my son close so he could be safer in my proximity. Nevertheless, I have made all the arrangements to ensure my baby is safe and is in regular touch with his father as well. I fail to understand his claims of me abandoning my child when he is very well aware of the safety measures taken.”
Shweta further said, “I am a single parent, I need to do the work to run my family. My kids’ well-being is my priority, and I have to fend for them and my family. For someone who is not contributing a single penny to the growth of kids, how easy is it to pull down someone who is trying to balance all their duties.”
