Legendary Indian track and field athlete Milkha Singh passed away on Friday night. He lost a month-long battle against COVID-19. He was admitted to the ICU on June 3 due to a dip in his oxygen level. He tested positive for the coronavirus on May 20. Just six days ago, on June 13, Milkha Singh’s wife Nirmal had passed away due to coronavirus complications.
The athlete’s demise is being mourned by one and all. Our TV celebs also paid their tributes to the iconic sportsperson who was fondly called ‘The Flying Sikh’.
