The popular television serial Balika Vadhu has returned with its second season. The promo of Balika Vadhu 2 was unveiled today along with the release date. It also puts focus on the young Anandi.
Sharing the promo on social media, the channel’s official handle wrote, “Baal Vivah ki iss kupratha ka abhishaap apni maa ki kokh mein hi jhelna pada nanhi si Anandi ko! Issi kupratha ko mitaane laut aayi hai ek nayi Balika Vadhu! #BalikaVadhu2, 9th August se Mon-Fri raat 8 baje se sirf #Colors par.”

The promo begins with two men fixing the marriage of a baby girl even when she isn’t born yet. Once born, a man takes her in his arms and calls her ‘bahu’ or daughter-in-law and names her ‘Anandi’.
The serial began its shoot last month in Rajasthan. Young actors Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani will be playing the lead roles in the show. Other stars who feature in the show are Riddhi Nayak Shukla, Ketki Dave, Seema Mishra, Anshul Trivedi and Supriya Shukla.
