Soon after the news of Sidharth Shukla's untimely demise due to cardiac arrest broke on Thursday morning, celebrities rushed to his residence to offer their condolences to the actor's mother, Rita Shukla and other family members. Rahul Mahajan, a former Bigg Boss contestant, was among the first few people to pay a visit to the bereaved family. Talking to a leading daily, Rahul said that he had a spiritual connection with Sidharth and they bonded well for many years. 

Rahul further added that he met Sidharth's mother. He revealed, "Sidharth was a different kind of person, he would not even like us mourning for him and I met his mother today who is also such a strong woman. She had tears in her eyes but she was strong and told me ‘death is obvious and but said itna jaldi nahi hona chahiye tha.’ She is a mother and how can any mother see her son go away in her lifetime."

Talking about Sidharth's rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill, Rahul said, "She had gone completely pale as if a storm had just passed by and washed away everything."

Shehnaaz has been with Sidharth's family throughout. She was the first one to see Sidharth in an unconscious state on Thursday morning.
