Vicky Kaushal has transformed into freedom fighter Udham Singh in Shoojit Sircar's upcoming film, Sardar Udham. The film will be releasing on Amazon Prime Video on October 16. Vicky and director Shoojit promoted their film on The Kapil Sharma Show. During the episode, host Kapil Sharma teased Vicky about his rumoured relationship with Katrina Kaif.
Kapil showed Vicky a report that highlighted how Vicky dodges media and sneaks out to meet Katrina. The report by a Hindi publication claimed that her neighbours exposed the secret. The headline was, “Katrina se milne ke liye media ko yun chakma dete hain Vicky Kaushal. Padosiyon ne kiya bhandafod." Vicky read the headline and felt embarrassed.
Kapil told, "We don't know how true this story is but they are trying to add fuel to the fire." In response to this, Archana Puran Singh said Kapil, too, is trying to add fuel to the rumour. The comedian defended himself and quipped, "Main bata raha hu paaji ko yaar, mera bhai hai." Vicky added, "Aisa bhai kisi ko na mile bhai."
In June, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor revealed that Vicky and Katrina are dating each other. Later, in August, there were rumours that the two had a closed-door engagement ceremony. However, PeepingMoon.com was the first one to inform the readers that the news is false and Vicky-Katrina are not engaged yet.
