Soap operas generally have very strange plot points which very often defy logic and desi television viewers are no strangers to the bizarre twists-and-turns that the makers of these shows incorporate in the name of creativity. The latest to join this list is a scene featuring Jigyasa Singh and Akash Ahuja from Thapki Pyar Ki 2. A promo clip of the scene was released by the channel on social media that quickly went viral and left netizens laughing out loud with the way it disregards the laws of physics and motion for the sindoor or vermillion to land in the lead actress’ hair parting.
In the scene, Thapki (Jigyasa) is about to apply sindoor on her forehead after taking a shower. She is seen standing contemplating in front of the mirror when her husband Purab, played by Akash, slips on a minimal amount of water and instead of falling flat on his back manages to cover the distance between them, take a pinch of the sindoor or vermillion and apply it at the right place on Thapki’s forehead. His movements left netizens sharing memes and jokes on Issac Newton’s laws of gravity.
The sindoor scene has gone viral on the internet ever since it was shared on social media. It has racked up over 1.9 million views on Facebook alone - and many more on other platforms like Instagram and Twitter. Netizens had a gala time slamming the scene as ‘utter nonsense’.
