Akshay Kumar’s and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi has opened in theatres today bring much festive cheer and euphoria to Bollywood. A new promo shared by Sony TV shows the two stars sharing anecdotes and trivia about working with each other on The Kapil Sharma Show as they appeared to promote their film. New promos shared by the channel shows the two stars having a rollicking time on the show wherein, Katrina even rebukes Akshay for wearing ‘ghar ke kapde’ aka track pants on the show. The episode will air this weekend.
Akshay and Katrina’s upcoming episode of TKSS promises to be grand fun where the former performs on stage and gets a standing ovation from Archana Puran Singh. Host Kapil Sharma asked Akshay if he would keep holding the pistol in his hand for the rest of the evening. “Nakli hai, tumhare yahaan asli kya hai?” Akshay replied taking a dig at him. On the other hand, Katrina made her entry by dancing to Tip Tip Barsa Pani as Akshay whistled and cheered for her. She poked fun at his outfit and told Kapil, “Sirf aapke liye khaas blue dress pehen ke aayi hoon aur Akshay ghar ke pyjamas pehen ke aaya hai (I wore this blue dress specially for you, and Akshay came in pyjamas that one would wear at home).”

Akshay, who was wearing a pink hoodie and joggers set, replied, “Kyunki yeh mera ghar hai (Because this is my home).” Kapil in the past has made jokes about the actor coming on the show every other week to promote his films.
In another promo shared by the channel, Krushna Abhishek came dressed as Jackie Shroff and told Akshay that he is his son but greets Katrina as his relative. When asked by Kapil to explain himself, he said, ““Maine bachpan mein suna tha ki Tiger ki maushi cat rehti hai (Because I heard as a child that tiger is from the cat family),” he said, referring to Tiger Shroff and Katrina’s nickname Kat. He also left everyone in splits when he thanked Katrina for doing a biopic on his son Tiger named Ek Tha Tiger. Kiku Sharda also featured in the promo and left the two actors laughing out loud with his gags.

As per a portal, in the show, Katrina talked about a scene in which she had to slap Akshay. Kapil asked her about retakes and she replied, “Nahi, thappad wala scene mein koi retake nahi tha. Ek hi baar kiya (No there was no retake in the scene in which I slapped him. It was done in a single shot).” Akshay added, “Asli mein hua tha. Asli mein mara hai. Nahi woh actually gap nazar aa jaate toh isne asli mein pail diya (It actually happened. She really hit me. The gap would have become visible so she slapped me in reality).”

Kapil then asked Katrina about her romantic scenes with Akshay and if those required retakes. She said, “Nahi romantic wale scenes mein bhi hum zyada retake nahi karte. Akshay aur mera tuning bohot acha hai (No, we don't do many retakes in romantic scenes either. My tuning with Akshay is really good).”
On the other hand, Gulshan Grover shared a picture with cricketer MS Dhoni from the sets of Sooryavanshi. In his caption, Gulshan suggested that Dhoni might have shot for a cameo in the film. Taking to Twitter, Gulshan wrote, “On the sets of #Sooryavanshi with brother @msdhoni. What? Is MS Dhoni acting in the film or happened to filming in the same studio? @akshaykumar.”

Gulshan was dressed in his character’s getup in a white kurta with a black Nehru jacket. He also sported a long white beard. Dhoni, meanwhile, wore a white polo T-shirt and jeans. The tweet sent fans in frenzy.
