Ever since the first promo of Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 6 went on air, there are speculations about the leading lady. Recently, a leading daily's report stated that Tejasswi Prakash is being considered for the sixth season of the supernatural show. The actress's team is yet to react to the rumour but Ekta has cleared the air.
The producer, who recovered from COVID-19, clarified that nobody has been approached for Naagin 6 as of now. Asking for suggestions from fans, Ekta wrote, "NOT YET CAST FOR #NAGIN6! Asking all u guys for ur suggestions! Just recovered from COVID but admist bad muscle spasm n stomach infection heard some names who r ‘ confirmed ‘! Arey bhai / behn no names r even approached or approved! Ur suggestions guys!"
According to the daily's report, the team of Naagin 6 was waiting for Tejasswi to come out of the Bigg Boss 15 house for a discussion. The actress, who was already a household name after doing shows like Swaragini, Pehredaar Piya Ki, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya, KarnSangini, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and others, is one of the top contenders on the reality show.
There were reports that Rubina Dilaik was approached for Naagin 6. However, in an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, she said, "No, it is not true." Naagin was launched with Mouni Roy in the lead. She led the first and second seasons of the series. Surbhi Jyoti and Anita Hassanandani headlined the third season whereas Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin (later replaced by Rashami Desai) featured in Naagin 4. The fifth season saw Surbhi Chandna in the titular role.
