Shweta Tiwari lands in controversy over remark on God while talking about her bra size; MP Minister Narottam Mishra orders police probe

Shweta Tiwari has landed herself in a controversy for allegedly referring to God while making a statement about her innerwear. Her remark has not gone down well with netizens  as well as Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Misha who directed the police to investigate and submit a report within 24 hours.

The actress had gone to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh for an event associated with her upcoming web show Show Stopper. She was accompanied by co-stars Rohit Roy, Digangana Suryavanshi, Sourabh Raaj Jain on the dais when she said, “Mere bra ki size bhagwan le rahe hai". The statement is now going viral on social media. It literally translates into God is taking the measurements for my bust (bra size).

Show Stopper is a show about fashion stars where Sourabh Raaj Jain plays the role of a ‘bra fitter’. Apparently, Shweta’s remark came with reference to Sourabh’s character in the series. However, her response has led her into a controversy.

When Mishra was asked about the actor’s statement, he told reporters, “I have heard it and I strongly condemn it. I have directed the police commissioner of Bhopal to probe it and give a report within 24 hours. After that, we will see what action can be taken in the matter.”
