Rannvijay Singha shot to fame after winning the first season of Roadies in 2003. Since then, he has been associated with the show as a presenter and gang leader. Now, he has decided to end the 18 years long association with the reality show. The next season of Roadies will not feature Rannvijay.
Confirming the news, he told a leading daily, "The channel has been a key pillar of my journey and I’ll be doing interesting work with them. On this edition of Roadies, things didn’t work out from both sides. Our dates were not matching and it is disheartening."
However, a source close to the show told the daily, "A new production house is helming the upcoming season. And Singha was not very pleased with the production house. They had to part ways." Rannvijay issued a clarification to the daily and said, I’ve been working with the channel for 18 years. I’ve done different shows with the network. Production house aur mera koi taal mel hai nahi.”
According to the report, Sonu Sood has been approached to replace Rannvijay. The makers of Roadies and Sonu are yet to react to this rumour.
