Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is back in news. After much wait, the makers are gearing up for the grand re-entry of Dayaben and fans cannot keep calm. While the character is all set to return, there was no clarity on whether Disha Vakani will be ending her sabbatical. Now, putting an end to speculations, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumar Modi, confirmed Dayaben's return but with a new actor.
Talking to a leading daily, Asit clarified that Dayaben's character will be seen on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah soon but it will not be Disha. The team has started auditions for the role and very soon, we'll get a new Dayaben. "Dayaben, the character, is all set to return, but it’s not Disha Vakani. Auditions for Disha’s replacement are on and there will be a new actress coming in as Dayaben soon," Asit told the daily.
He further added, "After getting married, Disha did work for some time. She then took a break and had a baby and continued her break to raise her child. She never quit the show. Humko umeed thi ki Disha will return. But then the pandemic struck. There were too many restrictions on shooting during that time. Even though we were taking all the necessary precautions, Disha said she was scared to return to shooting."
In the month of May, Disha welcomed her second child, a baby boy. In 2017, the actress had her baby girl named Stuti.
