Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim put an end to rumours of expecting their first child on Sunday. The much-loved couple of television finally confirmed that their baby is on the way. After making the announcement, Dipika and Shoaib posted their vlog on the latter's YouTube channel.
In the video, Shoaib stated the reason behind not making any new vlog in the past few days. He also revealed that Dipika is 3 months pregnant. "We didn’t want to lie to anyone and hence we didn’t shoot any vlog. Many of you had guessed it. Yes, Dipika is three months pregnant. It’s the beginning of a new life. It’s a new phase. We had thought of announcing it earlier but taking advice from the doctors and elders, we decided to wait for three months," he shared.
He further told that Dipika suffered a miscarriage in February 2022 and her health had deteriorated post that. "Many of you don’t know that last year in February, she suffered a miscarriage in the 6th week of pregnancy," he added. Dipika then shared, "Because of that we were a bit scared this time and I am sure all of you would understand that. It’s not just us, many go through this."
Dipika and Shoaib met on the set of Sasural Simar Ka (2011). In 2018, they tied the knot after dating for almost 5 years.
