Shailesh Lodha’s exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah left several of his fans upset. The actor played one of the lead roles in the sitcom and was an integral part of the popular show for over a decade. After leaving the show produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, Shailesh did not reveal the reason behind it but it was speculated it was because of creative differences with the producer. Now, while speaking to a news channel, Shailesh said that “If people, who earn from the talent of other people, start considering themselves over and above the talented people, then a talented person should raise their voices.”
At an event organized by a news channel, Shailesh was asked why he quit TMKOC despite being an integral part of it. To this, Shailesh said, “In this country, publishers wear a diamond ring and a writer, who wants to get his book published, has to shell out money. If people, who earn from the talent of other people, start considering themselves over and above the talented people, then a talented person should raise their voices. Maybe I am one of those talented people who has raised his voice."
He further added, “Those who earn popularity due to the work of an artist cannot be bigger than the artist. Any publisher in the world cannot be bigger than the writer. Any producer cannot be bigger than the actor. He is a businessman. If any businessman tries to overpower the actor or poet in me, I will strongly condemn it."
After Shailesh’s exit, the makers got Sachin Shroff to play the role of Taarak Mehta along with Sunayana Fozdar who plays the role of Anjali in the show.
