Sheezan Khan was granted bail by Maharashtra’s Vasai Sessions Court on Saturday. The actor was in jail after his Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul co-star and girlfriend Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on the show's set on December 24, 2022.
Now, after almost 69 days, Sheezan stepped out of the jail and headed back home. His sisters Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz came to receive him. It was an emotional reunion for Sheezan, Shafaq and Falaq. The actor was granted bail on a bond of Rs. 1 lac.

Sheezan was arrested a day after Tunisha's untimely demise on Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul's set in Vasai. The late actress' mother had levelled the charge of abetment to suicide against him. Tunisha's mother claimed she committed suicide after Sheezan broke up with her. She also accused his family of forcing her to follow Islamic rituals. The actor's family members hit back at the allegations and shared proof of how Tunisha was happy when she was with them. They alleged that Mrs. Sharma shared a tumultuous relationship with her daughter and wouldn't give her enough money for her personal expenses.
Amid this, the makers of Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul revamped the show and brought along a new storyline. Abhishek Nigam replaced Sheezan whereas Manul Chudasama was roped in to play Tunisha's character, Marjina.
