After buying his first swanky car, Shiv Thakare opens his own restaurant ‘Thakare-Chai & Snack’, hopes to expand in Mumbai, Pune and Amravati

Bigg Boss 16 contestant and Marathi Bigg Boss winner Shiv Thakare is looking out for new ventures. The reality star, who emerged as the runner-up of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show has opened his own snack joint called ‘Thakare- Chai & Snack’ after buying his first brand new car, a Tata Harrier worth Rs 30 lakhs.

Shiv wants to open this restaurant in several places through franchises. He is going to launch the joint in Mumbai, Pune and later in his hometown, Amravati. He said, “My parents are very proud but they have one complaint that I am not able to meet them. My mother keeps talking to me over phone calls and video calls, but my father is not able to have a full-fledged conversation because every time I call them, my mother comes on the call. I just surprised my father and bought him a scooty and he was not at all aware of it. I got it happen through my sister and they are very happy that good things are happening. People praise me when they meet them and that makes me proud of me."

Shiv came second in Bigg Boss 16. He was beaten by MC Stan who emerged as the winner. However, the loss of the trophy and the prize money did not deter him and he has now channeled his energies into bringing his dreams to fruition with a new car and a new business venture.
